Your agent can build and run TikTok ads in your own TikTok ad account. Ask it in plain words, for example “Make a TikTok ad for my best seller with this video at $50 a day”. The campaigns it makes show on Marketing → TikTok ads.

Before you start

  1. Connect TikTok on Marketing → TikTok ads. Sign in with the TikTok for Business account that owns your ad account.
  2. Set a daily ad limit under Settings on that screen. This is the most that the campaigns your agent made may have running per day. No new campaign can have a bigger budget.

What the agent can do

  • Show your campaigns and results: spend, clicks and sales per campaign.
  • Build a campaign: the campaign, who sees it (countries), and the ad. The ad uses a video you give it (a link to your own upload), your words and a link to your product page. TikTok asks for a daily budget of at least $50 for a campaign.
  • Pause a campaign right away.
  • Turn a campaign on or raise its budget, after you approve.
Everything is built paused. Nothing spends until you turn it on.

What needs your approval

Requests wait in Agents → Approvals. Tap Approve and it goes ahead; tap Cancel and nothing changes.

Cost guard

PlatformDTC checks every hour what the agent’s campaigns spent today. Once they reach your daily limit, they are paused and you get a notification. Nothing turns them back on by itself.

Good to know

  • The agent works only in the TikTok ad accounts you connected to this store.
  • It never makes up numbers. Everything it tells you comes from your TikTok ad account.
  • If TikTok says PlatformDTC isn’t allowed to do something yet, such as upload a video, reconnect TikTok on the TikTok ads screen.
