The Google Ads agent runs your Google Search ads from your dashboard. Ask it in plain words, for example “Protect my brand on Google at $10 a day” or “How did my Google ads do this week?”, and it does the work in your real Google Ads account. Open it from Marketing → Google.

What it can do

  • Show your campaigns and results: spend, clicks, sales and return on ad spend per campaign.
  • Pause any campaign, ad group or ad right away.
  • Turn something back on, after you approve.
  • Change budgets: lowering a budget happens right away; raising one waits for your approval.
  • Launch brand protection (see below).

Before you start

  1. Connect your Google Ads account on Marketing → Google. Sign in with the Google account that manages your ads and allow what Google asks for.
  2. Set a daily ad limit: the most the agent may spend per day in that ad account. Nothing can turn on or spend more without one. The agent can also ask you for it in the chat.

Brand protection

When shoppers search Google for your store’s name, other sellers can pay to show their ad above you. Brand protection is a small Search campaign that shows your own ad on searches for your brand name, so people already looking for you land on your store. You choose the daily budget, and it starts only after you approve it.

Cost guard

Your daily ad limit covers what the agent manages in that Google ad account. PlatformDTC keeps comparing today’s spend with your limit. If the limit is reached, those campaigns are paused and you get a notification.

Auto-optimize

Choose how much the agent may change on its own:
  • Off: the agent changes nothing unless you ask.
  • Practice: the agent shows you what it would have changed, without changing anything.
  • On: the agent makes the changes itself. Anything that turns ads on or raises spend still waits for your approval.

What needs your approval

Requests wait as an Approve card and in Agents → Approvals. Tap Approve and it goes ahead; tap Cancel and nothing changes.

Good to know

  • The agent works only in the Google ad accounts you connected to this store.
  • It never makes up numbers or results. Everything it tells you comes from your Google Ads account.
