The affiliate marketplace is one place, at platformdtc.com/earn, where creators find every PlatformDTC store with an open affiliate program. A creator signs in once with their email, joins the programs they like, and gets their link and code for each store. One page, platformdtc.com/creator, shows every program they are in, with their clicks, orders, earnings and payouts. It is off until you turn it on, store by store. Your affiliate program itself works the same either way: same commission, same codes, same payouts.

Let creators sell for you: one switch

Open Marketing → Affiliates → Settings and turn on Let creators sell for you. That one switch does everything:
  • Turns your affiliate program on. If you never set it up, it starts with 10% commission, 10% off for shoppers with an affiliate’s code, a 30-day link window and a 30-day hold for returns. If you already set your own terms, those are kept.
  • Lets new affiliates join, and lists your program here so creators can find it. Anyone can join at once.
  • Picks a category from what you sell (your best sellers, product types and collections).
Once it is shown, the card gives you your program’s own marketplace page to share. Turn the switch off to leave the marketplace and stop new joins: affiliates you already have keep their link and code and keep earning. To change anything, open Change details: your commission, what shoppers get, the link window and hold, Who can join (Anyone — they join at once, or Only people I approve: requests then wait under Affiliates → Waiting for review and you get an email for each), the category, and a short line for creators.

What creators see

Only real numbers from your store. Nothing is estimated, and anything you don’t have is left out.

When your program isn’t shown

Your program is shown only while all of these are true. If one stops being true, it leaves the marketplace by itself, and it comes back by itself once it is fixed. The settings card lists whatever is missing, in plain words.
  • Let creators sell for you is on (it turns on the program and lets people join).
  • Your store has its real name.
  • Your store is published, so links have somewhere to go.
  • At least one active product has a working photo.
  • Chargebacks are under 0.5% of card orders in the last 30 days.
  • Fraud warnings from card networks are under 0.5% of card orders in the last 30 days.
The last two only count once a store has 100 or more card orders in those 30 days. Creators lose their commission on every refund, so a store with many chargebacks is not shown to them.

Affiliates who join from the marketplace

They work like every other affiliate. They have a link on your own domain (?ref=CODE) and, when your program gives shoppers a discount, the same code as a real discount. They earn the same commission and you pay them the same way. In your Affiliates list they show Joined from the marketplace, and the From the marketplace filter shows only them. The payout details they set on their creator page reach you on their affiliate record, so you know where to pay them.

For creators

  1. Browse platformdtc.com/earn. Search, pick a category, or sort by highest commission or newest.
  2. Open a program and tap Join. Sign in with your email and the 4-digit code we send you. It’s the same sign-in as every PlatformDTC store’s partner page and checkout.
  3. Programs that let anyone in give you your link and code at once. Others send your request to the store.
  4. On platformdtc.com/creator, set your name, website and how you want to be paid once, for every store. You see every program you are in there, including ones you joined on a store’s own partner page with the same email.
Each store pays its own affiliates. Payouts show on your creator page once the store records them.

For developers and agents

  • GET /affiliates/listing and PUT /affiliates/listing (marketing:read / marketing:write, also under /agent/v1): listed, auto_approve, pitch (up to 280 characters), category, each optional (left out = kept). {"listed": true} alone is the one switch: program on (saved terms, or the defaults above), taking affiliates, listed, category picked from the catalogue when none was chosen. {"listed": false} unlists and stops new joins; the program keeps running. The answer adds on (the switch), shown, page_url (only while shown), blockers (code + plain words) and marketplace_affiliates. Listing, or opening joins to anyone, waits for the merchant’s approval when an agent asks (job kind affiliate.marketplace). Unlisting, pitch and category run at once.
  • GET /affiliates?source=marketplace lists only affiliates who joined from the marketplace.
  • Agent tools: dtc_get_affiliate_marketplace, dtc_set_affiliate_marketplace, and dtc_list_affiliates with source.
  • Public, no sign-in: GET /affiliates/marketplace?q=&category=&sort=popular|commission|newest&limit=&offset= and GET /affiliates/marketplace/{slug}.
  • Creator, signed in with the customer sign-in (POST /customers/auth/send-otp, then verify-otp): GET /customers/affiliates/hub, PUT /customers/affiliates/profile, POST /customers/affiliates/join {slug, name?}.
