Go to platformdtc.com, choose Create account and enter your email address. A store name is optional and you can change it later. You can also Continue with Google. See Sign in to PlatformDTC. Your store is created when you use the link or code we email you. It starts with:- Your browser’s time zone as the store’s time zone. You can change it in your store settings.
- A designed theme that is already live at your store’s address. Its home page is built only from your own products: your first product with its photos, price and buy button, then the rest. Until you add a product, it shows your store name and nothing else. It never shows sample products, reviews, member counts or discounts you didn’t set. Menu and footer links go only to pages your store has, and legal links only to policies your store has.
- Store policies. Refund, shipping, privacy, terms and contact policies are written from your store’s details right away, and rewritten when you change your store name, email, currency or country. See Store policies.
- Customer emails in your store’s name. Order and shipping emails show your store’s name as the sender. Replies come to you.
The setup guide
The guide shows how many of the required steps are done and opens the next one. If your email address isn’t confirmed yet, Confirm your email address comes first, because your store can’t go live until it is.1. Add your first product
Browse the catalogue to pick a product that is ready to sell, or Add my own product. A product you add from the catalogue or the Supplier Network goes on sale at once when it has a price, and the message has a View button. A product with no price is added as a draft. This step counts live products only. Drafts are hidden from customers, so if you only have drafts the guide says how many, with Make a product live.2. Set up payments
Set up payments opens PlatformDTC Payments directly. See Set up PlatformDTC Payments for the steps. The step is done only when your checkout can take cards. Until then it says Started — your checkout can’t take cards yet.3. Take your store live
Your store goes live at its public address. The first time it is really serving, you get one email, Your store is live, with the link, and your dashboard’s notifications show it for 7 days. The step then shows View your store.Optional steps
These never stand between you and “all done”:- Make the design yours opens your live store’s editor. Describe a change and the builder makes it.
- Check shipping & tax shows what your checkout charges today, for example Shipping is free on every order · No sales tax collected. Hide the guide
Hide for a day puts the guide away until tomorrow. Show setup guide on Home, with how many steps are done, brings it back any time. While the guide is on Home, the separate payments banner there stays hidden.Connect your channels
Everything outside PlatformDTC is in Settings → Connections, one card per channel. Connect once and the rest is set up for you:- Facebook & Instagram. Your store gets your ad account’s most recently used pixel, or a new one, with purchases also sent from our server, and your product catalog is connected once your store is live. See Google Shopping and Facebook catalog.
- TikTok. Connecting puts your ad account’s pixel on your store and checkout. See TikTok ads.
- Email from your domain. Type an address like [email protected] and copy the records we show into your domain provider. See Email on your domain.
